| We were tired of the romanticized image of Sweden as a country that was just IKEA, ABBA, Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi, dark foggy forests, mooses, national costumes and red cottages with white corners. |
The project has resulted in a book that will be released February 26, 2009. With the vision to show a more diversified Sweden, we have selected 64 images from 44 young photographers that we believe conveys an image of the young Sweden. A book about the million appartments project, school, youth cultures, festivals and leisure centers. About the city and countryside. About suburban and centres. About how we and other young people like to express our thoughts and feelings. A young depiction that we believe that people recognize themselves in. The book is translated into seven languages, available in the back of the book. The languages are English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic. |
